I LOVE self-imposed deadlines!
Do you like the random capitalization in the title? Me too.
The past few days, I have been focused entirely on my projects for the county fair and my greenhouse. Basically, I've been making a lot of tiny little stitches and wondering if I'm actually making any progress in these needlework projects after a couple of hours each day. I'm doing two projects at the same time, we go on vacation at the end of this week, I have to finalize the recipes I want to enter, and they need to be done by mid-July. The watercolor painting I'm doing for my sister and her roommate's apartment, too, is something I would consider entering if I get it done in time.
I guess I just have to keep myself busy. Not even sure if it's because I like it or because I just feel lazy after four years of college (seventeen years of consecutive schooling) and can't let myself have nothing to do. I really enjoy the things I'm doing, I very much do, but I guess I just need to remind myself that this is all for fun.
The greenhouse is very cute. I'm very happy with it. I'm still working on it and need to get some little shelves so I can fit all the little planters in, but it's looking good. I'll update with pictures once the whole thing is done, shelves and painted pots and all, everything planted. I can't wait to see them grow and press some of the flowers for a book of pressings I'm starting.
There's always a project, isn't there?
